Working across performance and choreography in theatre, dance, visual arts, and queer culture, River Lin is an artist and curator based in Paris and Taipei.
In the recent series My Body Is, the choreographic work situates one’s body and its identities in socially engaged encounters, dialogues, and movements, and transforms the understanding of an institutional form and itsarchitecture. His work has been presented by international institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, the Centre National de la Danse, the Palais de Tokyo, Lafayette Anticipations, M+ Museum, Rockbond Art Museum, and the 2016 Taipei Biennale, among others. River is a Shortlist Artist of the 2022 Live Art Prize by ANTI Contemporary Art Festival.
His curatorial work advocates for cultural spaces and decolonial knowledge production that strengthen artist communities across local and international arts ecosystems. He works closely with queer, feminist, and Indigenous Peoples artists through dramaturgy, commissioning, and co-production. He is currently Curator at Taipei Performing Arts Center for ADAM, Camping Asia (with CND), and the 2023-2025 Taipei Arts Festival. His recent curatorial projects include the Indonesian Dance Festival (since 2022), the 2025 Direction of YPAM (Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting), and the FORUM of 2025 Biennale de la Danse de Lyon.
River has also served as a juror for international projects and organizations, including 2025/26 Onassis AiR, Creative Australia, the 2026 SEDA Prize, and Taipei Artist Village. He has co-edited the OnCurating journal’s Issue 61 “Collective Curating in Performing Arts,” and chief-edited Networked Bodies: The Culture and Ecosystem of Contemporary Performance. River is a Curatorial Board member of the “Curating in Performing Arts” program of Paris Lodron University of Salzburg.

Travaillant entre performance et chorégraphie à l’intersection du théâtre, de la danse, des arts visuels et des cultures queer, River Lin est artiste et curateur basé à Paris et à Taipei.
Dans sa série récente My Body Is, son travail chorégraphique situe le corps et ses identités dans des rencontres, des dialogues et des mouvements à dimension sociale, transformant la compréhension de la forme institutionnelle et de son architecture.
Ses œuvres ont été présentées par des institutions internationales telles que le Centre Pompidou, le Centre national de la danse (CND), le Palais de Tokyo, Lafayette Anticipations, le M+ Museum, le Rockbund Art Museum, ainsi qu’à la Biennale de Taipei 2016, entre autres. River a été finaliste du Live Art Prize 2022 du festival ANTI.
Son travail de curation défend des espaces culturels et une production de savoirs décoloniaux qui renforcent les communautés artistiques à l’échelle locale et internationale. Il collabore étroitement avec des artistes queer, féministes et autochtones dans le domaine de la dramaturgie, de la commande et de la coproduction. Il est actuellement curateur au Taipei Performing Arts Center pour ADAM – Asia Discovers Asia Meeting for Contemporary Performance, Camping Asia (avec le CND) et le Taipei Arts Festival 2023–2025. Parmi ses projets récents de curation : l’Indonesian Dance Festival (depuis 2022), la Direction 2025 de YPAM – Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting et le FORUM de la Biennale de la danse de Lyon 2025.
River a également siégé au jury de projets et d’institutions internationaux, notamment Onassis AiR 2025/26, Creative Australia, le SEDA Prize 2026 et Taipei Artist Village.
